Are there copyright restrictions on using music to accompany a slideshow?

Yes. This is because all purchased music is copyright protected and can only be listened to by the person who owns that original copy. In addition that person cannot make any subsequent copies and cannot use it to accompany anything of a visual nature, even for their own use. The copyright laws mean that we, as a producer of audiovisual work, can purchase a production license that enables us to add music onto a slideshow for you, provided you own an original copy of that recording. Therefore, if you want to add music to the slideshow, then you will need to send your CD's in the post with your other material. Alternatively, by prior arrangement with us, you can email your MP3 files for us to use instead.

How much music can I have?

The production license comes in 2 flavours - 30 and 90 minutes. So, provided you stay within one of these two limits, it's beneficial to get as close as you can to these durations.
