Our Terms & Conditions

1) Sending and return of your source material & DVD(s)

You are advised to use a delivery service, requiring "signature on delivery", when sending your source media to us. When we return your material and DVD(s) we will use Royal Mail Special Delivery which also requires a signature on delivery, plus web-based tracking facilities and insurance. We include postage and packaging costs. Any disputes regarding loss or damage of your goods during transit should be taken up directly with the delivering company.

2) Safety of your source material

In the unlikely event of us causing damage to, or loss of any of your material, we will pay £50 compensation per photo, 35mm slide or videocassette tape, up to a maximum of £100 in any order. Please note that this does not apply to photos or 35mm slides that are already damaged, or videocassette tapes that have arrived in a damaged or unusable state, or become damaged during playback due to mechanical defects, or simply because they are old.

3) DVD player compatibility

The DVD discs that we produce are high quality industry standard DVD-R and DVD+R discs.
These discs will play in most DVD players (or DVD-ROM drive in PCs). However, you should be aware that these discs working in your DVD player may or may not work in other players. If you are unsure about which format to select, you will need to check the specification of the DVD player on which the DVD disc is intended to be played on. If you still need some assistance in making a selection, please let us know via the "additional information" field on the “quotation request” page, and we will do our best to help
.

4) In case of problems with your DVD disc

If the DVD disc that we produce is not correctly recorded, or your compatible DVD or PC is unable to play it, then inform us within seven days of receipt, by contacting us, describing the problem and the make and model number of your player. We will investigate immediately and if necessary, we will ask you to return the DVD(s) and will reproduce your DVD(s) free of charge. We cannot however, be held responsible for damaged or mishandled discs. It is the customer's responsibility to protect the supplied DVDs from scratches and general damage.

5) Turnaround time

We aim to complete and dispatch your orders within thirty working days from receipt of your order and payment clearance. However, turnaround times for larger orders or projects will be subject to our current workload and seasonal trends. Please enquire at the time of your order.

6) Your Responsibility

The customer warrants that the source media shall not contain nudity, pornography, violence or recreational drug use, nor shall it infringe any third party’s copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights or rights of publicity or privacy, and to comply with current laws of shipping audio/visual material.

7) The DVD Slideshow Company’s privacy and confidentiality policy

We promise to respect the privacy and confidentiality of your identity and audio visual material. We will not supply your contact information to any third party companies, unless you specifically ask us to. From time to time we may email you with special offers and other related news. However, you can remove yourself from our mailing list by simply replying to any sent message from The DVD Slideshow Company and placing the word "REMOVE" in the subject line.

8) Money back guarantees

All "money back guarantees" exclude any incurred delivery charges both inwards and outwards unless stated otherwise.

9) Our rights to update our web site, information and prices

We reserve the right to modify our web site, services and prices at any time. We will however honour your order, should it be placed within the quotation validity period. In addition, at the time of ordering, we will apply either the valid quotation price or our revised price (whichever is the lowest). 
 
10) Disclaimers

The DVD Slideshow Company will not be liable for any economic losses (including, without limitation, loss of revenues, profits, contracts, business or anticipated savings), any loss of goodwill or reputation, or any special, indirect or consequential damages (however arising, including negligence) arising out of or in connection with this agreement.

11) Currency

All prices quotes are in UK pounds unless stated otherwise.

12) Methods and terms of payment

All prices include VAT at current rate. We will accept:

1) Cheque or Postal Order in GBP made payable to "The DVD Slideshow Company”.
2) Internet banking or wire transfer - Please contact us for our bank account information.


13) Over payments and under payments
Once we receive your instruction and payment to proceed with creating a slideshow and we discover that the fee should be higher to reflect your requirements, we will continue to carry out your conversion and will subsequently bill you for the additional payment, should your order be underpaid by less than £5. For under payments above £5 we will contact you to obtain authorisation prior to performing your requests.

Should you over pay us by £2.00 or more, we will offer you a credit equal to the amount over-paid for your next order. Alternatively you can request a cheque or for the value of overpaid amount, less a £2.00 handling charge.

14) Orders without payment
If you are not certain about the actual conversion and/or delivery cost of your order you can still send your order to us without a payment (subject to prior agreement). On receiving your order we will inform you of the actual cost of your conversions and will await your confirmation or payment prior to processing your order. This is a free service and no surcharges are applicable unless you decide not to go ahead with the order. Please also note that should you decide not to go ahead with the conversion for any reason, you will be responsible for any delivery charges incurred for returning your material back to you.

15) Urgent processing and dispatch service.

If you would like completion of your conversions earlier then our standard thirty days terms, please contact us and we will do our best to assist you.
